hungry for connection? we dont bite.
Common Plate is an upscale casual restaurant located in New York City that brings new people together through a shared dining experience. It invites strangers to sit down and have a meal together at family style tables. The restaurant provides Gen Z and Millenials with a third-space to connect with new people offline.
meet your new best friends
Many people in Gen Z don’t have spaces to meet new people without the help of technology. Common Plate seeks to provide its patrons with a third space to network and find new connections. It attracts like-minded people who are seeking new experiences, and looking for new friends.
79% of Gen Z’ers say they’re opting for irl interactions over online connections.
Common Plate places importance on tactile, in-person experience. Each patron is given a list questions to help break the ice and stoke conversation. If the table gets through all of the questions, they recieve a complimentary shareable appetizer.
